Celebrities set the bar for so many trends. These high-profile people are exemplary when it comes to fashion choices, career goals, favorite restaurants and more. So why not look to these show-stoppers for a little ink-spiration?
Here are five celebrity tattoos that may inspire you to get your own ink.
1. Cara Delevingne, 'Breathe deep'
Bustle.com confirmed that English fashion model Cara Delevigne sports a white ink tattoo that reads "breathe deep" on her bicep. She unveiled the latest body art via Instagram on July 13. This one marks her 14th tattoo. Although the publication doesn't specify the meaning behind her tattoo, it joked that it could be a reminder on how to handle paparazzi.
2. Hilary Duff, 'Let it be'
The former Lizzie McGuire star has approximately 15 tattoos to date, according to Bustle. One of which, a more recent decision, is an ankle tatt featuring the famous words sung by The Beatles, "Let it Be." The publication confirmed that Duff decided to go with the famous lyrics because she gets stressed over her hectic life. She's just one person so she has to let it be.
3. Rihanna, 'Never a failure, always a lesson'
This one is pretty self-explanatory and a great reminder if you tend to be hard on yourself. According to Elle magazine, this phrase adorns RiRi's chest and it's backwards so she can read it in the mirror. A great technique if you don't want to explain your visible ink to just about everyone you meet.
4. Sarah Harding, 'Don't be bitter – glitter'
Cosmopolitan magazine explained that Sarah Harding flaunted her back piece at the Pride of Britain Awards. The words "Don't be bitter – glitter" are splayed across her back between two Phoenix wings. Who couldn't use a daily reminder to let go of the past?
5. Megan Fox, 'We will all laugh at gilded butterflies'
What publication hasn't made mention of Fox's tribute to Shakespeare's "King Lear?" As with many pieces of literature, this beautifully written line is open to interpretation.
Of course, even celebrities find that years down the road these once-inspiring words lose their luster. If this happens to you, you don't have to live with tattoo regret. Laser tattoo removal can erase any work that no longer suits your beliefs and style.
