Celebrity tattoos are not uncommon, but Robin Wright is one star who swore she'd stay body art-free. Whether she feared tattoo regret or simply didn't have a meaningful design in mind, Wright resisted going under the needle her entire life – until now.

The "House of Cards" star seems to have changed her mind about ink, and the timing makes sense. After all, the 47-year-old actress has been experiencing some dramatic changes in her life lately. After a tumultuous marriage with Sean Penn finally ended in divorce, Wright focused on her acting career, and while on set for the film "Rampart," became enamored with 33-year-old co-star Ben Foster. Just last month, the couple announced they're engaged. In a recent interview with The Telegraph, she admitted that her relationship with Foster is something special.

"Ben and I have a connection between us that just feels right," she told the news outlet. "I don't know any other word for it."

So it's no surprise that she would finally decide to get a tatt to commemorate her newfound love. She removed a ring during her interview to reveal a small etching of the letter B, explaining that Ben also has an R for Robin in the same place.

"I've been so anti-tattoos my whole life," said Wright, as quoted by the source. "But doing this felt right because we're not that traditional."

It seems that the actress is taking a lot of risks lately. Not only did she finally get a permanent inking, but she also admitted that she's been taking on more challenging roles in her career. She even told The Telegraph that she's aiming to get more involved in directing. It seems that her new tatt is a sign that Wright is turning over a new leaf. Hopefully, her union with Foster will be as long-lasting as the design on her finger.
