There's a common theme arising in regard to celebrity tattoos: family. Some stars may opt to get their spouse's or kids' names etched on their skin, but other seem to be going under the needle to pay homage to their parents. The latest A-lister to embrace this trend? Drake, who recently got tatted up in honor of his dad, Dennis Graham. If you don't know who Graham is, you've likely seen him in Drake's "Worst Behavior" music video.

Making amends
According to MTV News, the Toronto-bred rapper recently visited Mark Mahoney's Shamrock Social Club in Los Angeles, where artist Dr. Woo emblazoned his father's face on his arm. Woo and Drizzy both posted evidence of the tatt on Instagram. Of course, this isn't Drake's first time getting inked. In fact, he has built up quite a collection of designs over the years, including an owl to rep his OVO crew, a 416 honoring his hometown area code, a portrait of his deceased grandmother and also one of the late Aaliyah's face. His latest ink is significant, though. Drake has famously had a complicated relationship with his dad, and this decision may show that they've made peace once and for all. In fact, the rapper has noted that he is living out his dad's dream of being a famous singer. Now, Graham is getting to rediscover his passion for music through his son.

"Like any other family, there have been dark times," said Drake, as quoted by Hip Hop DX. "At the end of the day, my dad knows I love him and that he's a great friend of mine, but as far as being a father goes, I look forward to being a better father for the children that I have. But at the end of the day, he is a great man and I love him very much."

An important reminder
Drake isn't the only celeb who has opted to permanently emblazon his parent's face on his skin. Rob Kardashian, a tattoo enthusiast, decided to showcase his familial love with not one but two designs. On his right arm is an inking of his mom Kris Jenner's face, which perfectly pairs with the portrait of his late father on his left arm.

Justin Bieber went the same route when he decided to immortalize his mother Pattie Mallette by getting a tribute tatt of her eye on the inside of his left elbow. The pop singer opted to get his ink done at Bang Bang in New York City, which is the same parlor where his "Believe" design was done. Tattoo artist Keith "Bang Bang" McCurdy told MTV News that he bonded with Bieber because he, too, has a tatt dedicated to his mother. He also noted that the benefit to getting ink inspired by your family is that you're not likely to experience any tattoo regret.

As for Bieber, he let fans in on the theme behind his ink after posting a photo to Instagram with the caption "Mom's always watching."
