It's no secret that Rihanna has a mild obsession with getting inked. The singer already has an bevy of different designs, and it doesn't appear she'll be capping off her visits to the tattoo parlor anytime soon. In fact, RiRi recently stopped by Bang Bang Tattoos in New York City to add to her extensive collection of body art. Her newest piece? A large cross to complement the tribal design across her wrist and hand.

Rihanna is not the only famous client of Bang Bang's either. Bang Bang McCurdy and Cally-Jo, the parlor's primary artists, are responsible for a slew of celebrity tattoos, including Katy Perry's, Rita Ora's, Cara Delevigne's and Justin Bieber's. The duo is behind RiRi's hand tattoo, which was reportedly inspired by henna. Now, the detailed design looks even bolder with the addition of the enormous and dramatic cross. According to The Daily Mail, she was at Bang Bang Tattoos from midnight until 5 a.m. for the duo to complete her new ink. The shop then revealed Rihanna's new tattoo on Instagram with the caption "I love tattooing @badgalriri."

"I like hanging out in tattoo shops," Rihanna has said, as quoted by The Daily Mail. "I am so intrigued by tattoos. It's an entire culture, and I study it."

Tattoo artists know that whenever RiRi gets some new ink, it's likely that a lot of 20-something women will be coming in asking for a similar design. So there's a distinct possibility that cross tattoos could see a spike in popularity soon. The question is, what will Rihanna add to her canvas next? With so much body art already, she might eventually run out of space. In that case, there's always the option of laser tattoo removal so she can make room for her latest inspiration.
