Cate Blanchett and Amy Adams have a few things in common. Aside from being stunningly beautiful and incredibly talented actresses, they were both nominated for an Oscar in the Best Actress category, and now they may potentially share something else: celebrity tattoos. While Blanchett won the Academy Award, it seems that didn't affect the stars' friendship. The "Blue Jasmine" winner even gave props to Adams in her acceptance speech, saying that her performance in "American Hustle" "blew her mind." In fact, the two seem closer than ever – and their bond is especially evident due to a recent visit to the tattoo parlor together.

An ink-themed outing
You might not expect it to be the first thing A-listers do the day after the Oscars, but Blanchett and Adams wasted no time before heading to the Shamrock Social Club tattoo parlor in West Hollywood with their significant others on their arms. Adams took fiancé Darren Le Gallo, while Blanchett brought along her husband Andrew Upton. There's no telling who went under the needle, but Le Gallo did leave the parlor with a bandage on his right forearm, and Blanchett had one on her left wrist. Both starlets were also spotted browsing different designs inside Shamrock.

So the next question is: What could they be thinking in terms of ink? There are no hints about what designs they are considering or have already gotten. However, NY Daily News pointed out that both actresses had a close working relationship with Phillip Seymour Hoffman. Blanchett acted alongside him in "The Talented Mr. Ripley," and he co-starred with Adams in "Doubt" and "The Master." With his recent passing, it's possible that the two decided to get an etching that pays homage to the late actor. The two starlets have spoken publicly about his death, and Blanchett even dedicated her BAFTA award to Hoffman.

A famous fanbase
Blanchett and Adams aren't the first celebs to hit up Shamrock Social Club, either – the shop already has an impressive star-studded client list that includes Katy Perry, Angelina Jolie and Bruce Willis. According to Us magazine, Oscar-winner Jared Leto has been loyal to Shamrock for some time now. The business even expressed their congratulations to their "friends" Leto and Blanchett over Twitter after the Academy Awards were over.

This message suggests that the "Blue Jasmine" star has been to the shop before. So while she may still not be sporting any tatts, it's clear Blanchett in the market for one. Now we'll just have to wait and see what design she opts for – if any. Don't expect Shamrock to reveal what body art the actress gets, though. The Daily Mail reported that the company is known for respecting the confidentiality of its client base.
